Drive Chip Putt 2019 Qualification
TPC Las Vegas

"How I began at D.C.P." AMAZING 141 points!

Today, I feel pretty confident but nervous. Cameron's tee time will be at 9:10 A.M., and I get to watch her. I'll be missing at least 5 hours of school, and I feel pretty uncomfortable. My tee time is at 11:20 A.M., and I will be practicing with Cameron. This will lead me to practice for at least 4 hours. Moving along, we first started practicing on putting, and we noticed that this year's putting spot was different from last years, but we also observed the chipping area. We practiced there yesterday, and I felt like I was going to nail it. Of course, we all had goals, and my goal was Putting: 60 points Chipping: 45 points, Driver: Get them all in bounds.

This year, the driving spot was on TPC Las Vegas's first tee. I started off on the first tee, and I just needed this driver to be in bounds. I hit one to the left, and it was a "floaty". I was just lucky enough that it was in bounds, and that led me to feel confident. My second driver shot I pounded it. I believe that I scored 16 points on that one drive. My third drive, I didn't do as well, but at least it was still in bounds. That led me to my driver score as 41 points. I went to chipping, and I felt confident because I've been practicing from that distance a lot. The first chip I believe that I scored 15 points. The second chip I scored 10 points, and the third chip I scored 15 points. That leads me to my chipping score as 40 points. I felt pretty confident on putting, even though I didn't practice a lot on it. My first putt I scored 15 points, not that good. The second putt I scored 20 points. The third putt I scored 25 points. That led me to the total score for putting as 60 points; however, that was not good enough to get first in putting. I ended up with 3rd place, and two people beat me with the score in putting as 65 points. Otherwise, I placed in every single mini event. I got first in driving, and there was a three way tie for chipping. The staff did a card-off, and I won first. In putting, I got 3rd place, but I did pretty well. In overall, I got a total of 141 points, and I got 1st place. I beat my record and redeemed myself from last year because last year I shot 120 points. This will probably be the highest score I can shoot. Well, I hope to do as well in Arizona for the Sub-Regional.
