H ello, my name is Angelina Huang,
and
I am born on August 15, 2006. Lucky me, I was born into the family of healthcare
field provider. Both of my parents are specialists in the field of dentistry. My aunt is
an ICU pulmonary doctor at
Stanford and my other aunt is also a specialist (Endodontist) in the field of dentistry.
My mom, Victoria Chen, is the
orthodontist and the glue of the family. She had instilled in me the importance of
self-reliance and family value. Ever
since I can remember, she has always wanted me to be independent and be driven so that I
can impact this society in a
positive way. My dad, Allen Huang, on the other hand is the periodontist and the
workhorse of the family. Not one day
has gone by does he not preach to me to work/work/and work. He always reminds me that
nothing will fall out of the sky,
you have got to work for everything you want in life.
I was lucky and fortunate that my
parents wanted me to succeed both academically and in sports. I go to Challenger
Middle School and currently am in top 5% of my class. I would say math and writing are
my strengths. Both I and my sister, Cameron (Cami), were introduced to tennis, golf,
chess and piano at a tender age. Recently, I have been learning
cello as a second instrument. I also compete in the golf and math tournaments locally
and nationally. I strive to excel on both academics and golf. My goal is to be top 10
junior female golfers in the next two years!
I have a passion for golf. Golf is
my
life, and I don't know what I would do without it. Golf helps me calm down more
and controls my emotions, and it is a social sport. It helps gets more people involved
with activities, and you can
always make new friends. Competition helps drive your passion to the maximum, for you
always would want to improve, out
work, and beat the other girls. Many of the friends I have met have been because of
golf. Many people choose other
activities to play than golf, but I feel like golf is the most relaxing and the sport
that requires most skills. Many
people may assume it to be easy, and it is quite challenging to be what you see on T.V.
It becomes fun when you try to
hit the golf balls. I remember when I was little, I used to love golf so much because I
found it entertaining to try to
hit a golf ball in the air and straight when I couldn't. Mini golf (putting) is also
fun, for a lot more people do that
instead of "real" golf. It's understandable, for "real" golf requires skill and talent.
Therefore, golf is an
interacting, competitive, and depending on you, an emotional sport. Many girls should
play not only to challenge
themselves, but also to interact with others.
W hen not studying, I spend most
of my
time in golf working on either full swing, chipping or putting. I love to win, and
I hate losing. With little time that's left, I like to spend my remaining time with my
younger sister, Cami, my two
dogs, Strawberry and Joy, and on my iPad reading.
